Thank you for your interest in our latest Infographic on Child Safety and Facebook. We are huge fans of Facebook, and so with all of the recent hype about Facebook and kids, we thought we should try to set the record straight with facts and experts recommendations.

There are risks to kids using the Internet… period. Having said that, the Internet is not going away, and Facebook seems to be working very hard to figure out how to keep kids safe online. That is great news, but at the end of the day, there are natural limitations to what Facebook can do given that almost everyone on the planet uses the social network.

In our opinion, parents should take charge and get involved. What do we recommend?

• Educate your kids about how to safely use the Internet and social networks.
• Engage with your kids on the subject of technology and your child’s digital world.
• Finally, monitor what is going on in your child’s digital world so that you can keep your finger on the pulse, and if necessary, step in to protect your child and their online reputation.
